Gili T and Lombok

Gili T
stayed at Lisa Homestay: 1 person 100,000 2p 125,000 3p 150,000.
Pretty nice, nice people, very clean. 4 rooms. Each with 1 king bed
and 1 single bed. They set up my shuttle to Kuta Lombok for 150,000
(good price) with Lombok Family Travel (Danny- 08175722247)

Diving with Big Bubble for 350,000, 1 tank, set price on the island.
Dove shark point and it wasn't very good. We only went down 18meters
for some reason and it was pretty lame. Didn't dive again.

Met a guy named Edy from Edy homestay who was really nice. Met him at
a bonfire on the beach. He set up a snorkeling trip for us for 55,000
with mask and snorkle, fins were 15,000 more. The snorkeling was just
as good if not better than diving! Saw some turtles, lunch on gili air
(extra)
They bring you to one restaurant but it looked touristy so I left and
found Warung Sasak after walking 20min. I had a calamari dish called
something with a P and it was AMAZING.

Kuta, Lombok
Stayed at Segar Reef which was really nice, 1p 100,000, 2p 150,000, 3p
200,000. Split it with 2 irish girls so it wasn't too expensive.
Nicest room I've stayed in so far. Rented motor bikes for 2.5 days for
100,000.
BEST dish in Indonesia: chili seafood from Lombok Lounge. Fish, shrimp
and calamari in a spicy chili sauce, served with rice (40,000)
AMAZING. also had REALLY good pineapple juice. Next door is a cafe
with free (slow) wifi. One waiter, Ballak: 087864103121, was really
nice and invited me to his village near Pryah for the day for a
wedding and I went.

Garupak:
Met Di (081805722637), full name Suhar Di, who is really nice. Set me
up at Lina homestay for 60,000 with breakfast, a board for 40,000, and
boat trips to surf for 80,000 once a day or 150,000 twice a day. You
can find boats for 70,000, maybe even 60,000 but Di is cool and really
helpful. He picked me up in Kuta for free and said he would drop me
off there to catch my shuttle too.

Shuttle Kuta, Lombok back to Kuta, Bali was 200,000 on slow boat with
Lombok Family again, which seems like the standard price

Land in Garupak:
Di and I were just talking about buying land in this area. You need an
Indo sponsor which could be him and you need to put down 20% before
you do all the paper work and make sure you can actually buy the land,
my understanding anyway. He said beach front across the bay would be
40,000 for a 10meter by 10meter plot. Up on the hill he said you could
probably get the same size for 7,000! If I do make it back here, I'm
seriously going to consider buying a plot on the hill somewhere and
building a bamboo hut. But I'd say that's pretty unlikely. Nice to
dream though.

Trip back to Bali:
Took a LONG time. Got a sunrise surf in before getting a ride to Kuta
with Di at 830. Caught the shuttle at 930 but it went to Mataram first
then switched shuttles to go down to Lumbar for the Ferry. The public
Ferry was pretty interesting. Before leaving it is PACKED with people
selling food and drinks. Prices are definitely negotiable and by the
end guys who were selling rice and noodles for 5000 rupiahs were
offering them for 1000. The cabin is the place to sit I think. There
was a smoke free area in the front. The seats up top and outside
didn't look too comfortable and it was pretty hot. The boat ride was
about 4 hours, seas were calm. After arriving in Padang Bai all the
foreigners are herded over to the correct shuttle to their respective
destinations. Ride to Kuta was probably about 2 hours
